IG Boinnet: Attack started by suicide bomber

The Inspector General Joseph Boinett has confirmed that a suicide bomber blew himself at the Secret Garden of the Dusit 2 hotel where many people were.

He said six that six out of seven floors of the hotel secured.

The attack happened sometime at 3pm. First it was a loud bang, possibly a bomb before gunshots rent the air.

The attack happened on 14 Riverside, the compound that houses Dusit 2 hotel and the Commission on Revenue Allocation (CRA) offices.

A colleague who is inside the besieged building said: “They (shooters) have been combing the building and shooting aimlessly. It’s too scary to imagine. I’m inside the building which is under attack. It’s real guys. Had gone to interview CRA guys. I’m too scared for my life.”
